Simranjeet Singh (Sunny) Dua is an Engineer and has done his PGD in Journalism. Gold Medalist in Journalism, Illustrious son of renowned philanthropist late Dr. SS Dua (Rtd. Director). Mr. V. P. Chauhan who founded Oriental Academy school was a great visionary who laid emphasis on education in a big way. He used to teach English personally and poetry was his favorite subject. He never compromised on the quality of teaching. He recruited staff who dedicated their entire life to this prestigious institution of Jammu and Kashmir. He also ensured that children stayed glued to heritage, culture, and ethics, and besides education learn the basics of life. School prayers were so meaningful that today also we remember them and recite them all. My prayer to Waheguru Ji that my institution must progress by leaps and bounds following ethics, morals, and values.

Alumni of Oriental Academy school Jammu is an Electronics and Communication Engineer and an MBA with specialization in Marketing presently serving as Deputy General Manager in a prestigious Navratna Public Sector Undertaking - Steel Authority of India Limited, a Government of India enterprise. Besides basic education, the values embedded by teachers of the oriental academy during school days played an important role in transforming each and every student of the oriental academy to serve the nation as an Entrepreneur, Businessmen, Defence person, an Artist, Accomplished Professional and most importantly a good human being.
