The gate on Afghan Street opens onto a covered verandah the whole school crosses twice a day.

Regular lessons and revision happen here, with the teacher at the board.

The day starts with prayer and assembly in the courtyard. The school also gathers here to open the school year.

Children perform and speak here at school functions through the year.

The courtyard is also the games ground, used for kho-kho, circle games and practice.

Students work at their own terminals, with a teacher alongside them at the keyboard.

Younger children learn through play, activities and classwork, with a teacher guiding them.

The youngest children have their own covered play area, with slides, rockers and a soft floor.
Children take part in assemblies, sport, stage events, Scouts & Guides, Earth Day activities and school competitions through the year. Games include football, volleyball, cricket, kho-kho, kabaddi, badminton, chess and carrom, with athletics on sports day. On stage children learn Kathak, bhangra and Bollywood dance, and the school holds quiz, storytelling and essay-writing competitions.
